Ward Facilities
KCTRI's Hospital has nearly 148 bedded which includes all types of wards like general wards, semi-private rooms(sharing basis), special rooms and deluxe rooms and a separate chemotherapyward. Patients can choose the type of ward they wish to stay in.
Annadana(Food Offering)
Management had noticed a situation of cancer patients, particularly those living below poverty Line (BPL) i.e. a problem of food and accommodation. Occasionally the cost of boarding and lodging, of patients and attendants, would exceed the treatment cost. With this problem in mind the management implemented the scheme of free food for patients and called it Annadana.
Many patients would have been deprived of complete treatment but for this noble scheme. Philanthropic minded friends of KCTRI are, on an regular basis, generously donates food grains and other required edibles enabling the institute to feed the needy patients and their attendants.
KCTRI’s best service apart from its medical service is ‘Annadana’. The institute has unstintingly providing breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner for about 150 patients, everyday, for the last 25 years. This has given great solace to the suffering poor cancer patients for those who stay for 30 or more days in the hospital, for cancer treatment.
