V MAT – A machine that achieves better tumour dose distribution within a short treatment duration of around 2 minutes.Advanced biological based Monacco planning system is followed in the KCTRI hospital. KV imaging helps to keep a check on organ movement during treatment and delivery of optimal therapeutic dose to the tumour, with minimal injury to the normal tissues. We take pride in stating that this advanced machine in possession of KCTRI is the first of its kind and the only one in the whole of North Karnataka.
